James Gray: Three photographs [jgc_20_170, 171 and 172] of 28 January 1962. This view shows the entrance from Ditchling Road, the gates and the lodge. jgc_20_170

2018: Surrenden Park, a housing estate,  has been built over much of the Hollingbury Court site. This is the view west from the Ditchling Road entrance. When walking by, look out for the exposed roots of the tree on the far left of the image. These are flattened on one side providing a hint of the wall that used to stand there. (Photographer: Jane Jordan)
