Neighbourhood:
James Gray: Redcross Street, at the same period – July 1959. Built at the same time, it was almost indistinguishable from Whitecross Street, both consisting of small cottages in varying stages of dilapidation. Many of the streets in this area seem to have been named after streets in the City of London, viz., Cheapside, Fleet Street, Wood Street, Whitecross Street and Redcross Street, while Bread Street is not far away. jgc_25_239
