CARLTON HILL

Nelson Row

Neighbourhood:
Carlton Hill
1920-30

James Gray: Looking north along the dreary Nelson Row from the corner of Carlton Hill. This narrow alley had houses on only one side, the opposite side being formed by the backs of the houses in Woburn Place. This area was cleared in 1935 and Kingswood Flats built on the site of Woburn Place, Nelson Row and Nelson Place. jgc_24_119
