James Gray: View of Shoreham Station, the Burrell Hotel, and the terminus of the Shoreham to Hove horse tramway, in the early years of this century. It looks a slightly earlier photograph than a very similar one on another page [see jgc_38_070 below] though the licensee is the same in both cases, Mr. Thomas P. Palmer. Additional Information: Tennent’s Red T Lager & Munich Beer; Family & Commercial Hotel and Cyclists House. jgc_ 38_149

James Gray: The Shoreham terminus at Brunswick Road, with a view of the railway station and level crossing. The rolling stock consisted of 6 double deck cars and three single deck cars. This photograph was taken in 1906. jgc_38_070

2018:  The tramway has gone. The signal box and semaphore signals have gone and the level crossing gates have been replaced by automatic barriers. The  Burrell Hotel became The Burrell Arms pub and is now an Italian restaurant. Its chimney stacks have gone and the pitched roof behind a blocking course replaced by a parapet and mansard attic.
