DEVONSHIRE STREET

Avon Court

Neighbourhood:
Kemptown
c1960
2019

James Gray: Looking down the completely cleared street, after the demolitions, towards Edward Street, in the early 1960s. jgc_24_070

2019: Devonshire Street no longer exists, but where it did, a number of blocks of flats have been built or are in the process of being so. Avon Court is approached via a turning off Mount Pleasant, about halfway down. This is the view towards Edward Street, standing within the grounds of Avon Court. (Photographer: Ruthie Martin)
