James Gray: 244 Eastern Road, at the corner of Arundel Place, in 1903, when it was the office of a Builder and Undertaker. Little changed in 1973. Additional Information: Boater. jgc_23_041

2019: This site, on the corner of Eastern Road and Arundel Place, has changed only a little in the 115 years since 1903. The render is now white and a low stone wall has replaced the front railing. It now houses Jonathan Rolls, the property and estate management company. (Photographer: Alice Jackson)

James Gray: Photograph of an old mews cottage in Arundel Place, 8 July 1973. First known as Arundel Mews, the earliest buildings date from the 1880s but most are of the 1890s vintage. The street name was changed to Arundel Place in 1921. jgc_23_090

2021: Urban gentrification has taken place. The street and buildings have been upgraded to a quiet residential area. (Photographer: Mark Stephenson)
