2019: This was also the site of the short lived Hartington Road Halt which was open from 1906 to 1911 on the Kemptown railway line. The area is now occupied by William Clarke Park which was opened in the 1980s. William Clarke was a former Mayor of Brighton who campaigned for this open space to be created.
