James Gray: Two photographs [jgc_26_102 and 103] of Steer’s greengrocer’s shop, at 24 Upper Hamilton Road, but divided in time by as much as 66 years!  This photograph was taken in 1910 and a small boy is seen to the right of the doorway.  Additional Information: E. Elms, the Cobbler, next door.  jgc_26_102

2018: In 1987 a change of use application was made so that 24 Upper Hamilton Road could be turned into a snack bar. Today it is still in use as a café, although the present owners have been there for only two years. No 22 is now in residential use and the shop frontage has been removed to reveal the original bay. (Photographer: Jane Southern)
