James Gray: Two photographs of unknown year, but of pre-1914 vintage. This and jgc_38_155 look to the west along the old street, long before its widening in the 30s. jgc_38_153

2018: The Town Hall is now a bistro. The buildings beyond it have been replaced with modern shops as part of the road widening scheme. At the far end is now the Ropetackle development of housing, shops and an arts centre. (Photographer: Jeremy Knight)
