James Gray: The disused allotment grounds between Roedean Road and Henley Road. On the Henley Road frontage has since been built the Roman Catholic Church, St Louis, King of France. Date of photograph – 7 October 1962. jgc_23_123

2019: This scrubby patch of disused allotment land has quite a story to tell. The site has seen the rise and fall of a church since it was photographed in 1962. It was for 20 years the site of the St Louis, King of France, Catholic Church but in 1982 the Church was closed and two years later the building was demolished. It is now the site of the residential Henley Court pictured in the June 2019 photo. (Photographer: David Jackson, aerial view from Google)
