James Gray: Two photographs [jgc_26_104 and 106] of Highlands, Stanford Road. This house was built, about 1870, for Daniel Friend who was responsible for developing the Prestonville area in the 1860s and 1870s. Dates of photographs not known. jgc_26_104

2019: In the original photograph of unknown date, the portico was being removed from 48 Stanford Road, formerly known as Highlands. The house which can be seen on the right is 44 Hamilton Road. (Photographer: Jane Southern)
