James Gray: Stationary tram in Brighton Road, Kingston – 1910. The entire journey from Hove to Shoreham occupied about one hour and the single fare was 3d. The penny fare stages were from the Hove Terminus, to Halfway House, Portslade, thence to the Depot, Albion Street, and from there to the Shoreham Terminus. jgc_38_072

James Gray: This view, showing the single-decker travelling east in 1911, was not taken in the High Street but more to the east. Note the very early Brighton registration numbers – CD 495 and CD 1441. CD 1, the first number was issued in 1903. Flood 6 November 1911. jgc_38_154
