HEATH HILL AVENUE

Heath Hill Avenue

James Gray: Removal of the prefabricated dwellings from Heath Hill Avenue, during the 1960s. These were erected about 1947, and were expected to have a life of about 25 years. In fact they were removed in far less time than this and replaced by the present well-built houses. jgc_28_169

2018: I questioned a number of the more elderly local residents about the site of the pre-fabs (there is an awful lot of Heath Hill Ave) and I got several different answers. This is a best guess based on a sort of average score. (Photographer: Ron Fitton)

James Gray: A view of Heath Hill Avenue at the junction of Hornby Road, with Norwich Drive on the hill beyond. jgc_28_165

2018: The view of Norwich Drive is now completely obscured by the tree growth north of Heath Hill Avenue. (Photographer: Ron Fitton)
