James Gray: Union Street, 5 March 1961, before reconstruction of Plumbridge’s premises into separate shops. Additional Information: Bath Arms.  jgc_09_015

2019: Plumbridge’s Jewellers were a long-established firm in Union Street. After closing, the premises were divided into two shops but outwardly little has changed since the original image was taken. There are still jewellers in the street. The Bath Arms, seen on the corner of Union Street and Meeting House Lane, has been a pub since 1868.  (Photographer: Simon Cooper)
