2018: When completed, the pair of houses under construction in the 1953 image were numbered 2 and 4 Mill Drive. They are seen here in April 2018, with No 2 nearest the camera having been extended to the side. The houses in this road now block the view of Downland Drive in the distance. Both photographs were taken from Elizabeth Avenue, looking north-west along Mill Drive. (Photographer: Alan Hobden)
